For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth for behold, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
Finally! Spring has arrived in Virginia and it is one of my favorite times of the year – a time of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth. I love the sweet smell in the air, the happy sounds of the songbirds, the vibrant colors of the tulips and the crocus as they burst forth from the ground. These must be hints of a warm summer to come!
One of our favorite things to do after a long day is to sit on the front porch and take note of all the changes we see. There are several varieties of flowers that are already blooming in our gardens and many birds have returned to begin building their nests. Of course, this also means that wedding season will be kicking into high gear this month. We are so blessed to have the privilege of watching as new families are joined in matrimony.
