WINRIDGE MANOR POLICIES - GUEST INFORMATION - CONFIRMATION / DEPOSIT
For all reservations made with greater than 10 days’ notice, we require a deposit of 50% of the total charge at the time of reservation with the balance due upon arrival. For all reservations with less than 10 days’ notice, the total charge of your stay is due at the time of reservation. A receipt of a valid credit card will guarantee your reservation. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Personal checks may be used to secure the full amount of your stay but must be received at least 10 days prior to your arrival.
CANCELLATIONS – We have a 10-day written email cancellation policy, or a 21-day written email cancellation policy for holidays, group reservations, college graduation weekends, and the months of May and October. Any deposit taken is refundable, minus a $35 service fee, with the appropriate prior written notice. Any guest that does not notify us by email with 10 / 21 days prior to their stay will be responsible for the full amount of the entire stay. There are no refunds for early departures.
RATES – All rates are based on double occupancy. With pre-approval, a $50 fee will be charged for each additional person per room. (Guests traveling with anyone 21 or younger must book our family suite.) All rates include a full four-course breakfast and delicious snacks throughout the day. A wine and cheese social hour is also included for guests staying with us on Friday and Saturday evenings.
TAXES / GRATUITIES / CREDIT CARDS – All rates are subject to a 10.3% Virginia Lodging and Sales Tax. Gratuities for the housekeeper are left to each guest’s discretion. All major credit cards are accepted. Personal checks are accepted for full payment but must be received at least 10 days prior to your arrival.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT – Check-in is between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. If you plan to arrive after 8:00 PM, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to accommodate your schedule. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. With prior arrangements, we will honor a late check-out when possible.
MINIMUM STAY – Winridge Manor generally only requires a one-night minimum stay. However, for holidays, special events, graduations, and Fall Foliage weekends, a two-night stay is required.
CHILDREN – Winridge Manor is happy to host children of any age in our family-friendly Babbling Brook suite. We do ask that parents kindly supervise their children as we promote a quiet, adult atmosphere for all of our guests.
SMOKING – Smoking is not permitted inside the inn. Smoking is permitted on the front porch or on the grounds unless other non-smoking guests are present.
PETS – We have a friendly dog and cute cat who share our home. For the comfort of our guests, they are never allowed in the guest rooms. If you are traveling with pets, please let us know in advance, and we will be happy to help find boarding for them in a nearby kennel.
BREAKFAST / TREATS – A scrumptious full breakfast is served between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM. With prior arrangement, guests may elect to have room service instead. We welcome any dietary requests or restrictions at the time of reservation. An endless cookie jar is always available for treats throughout the day. For guests staying with us on Saturday evenings, a wine and cheese social hour is held in the dining room, or, weather permitting, on the back deck, from 4:00PM – 5:00 PM.
FIREPLACES / CANDLES – Most of our guest rooms offer electric fireplaces that may be used with or without heat. We ask that our guests kindly turn these off while not in their room. For the safety of our guests and inn, no fires or candles are permitted in guest rooms. However, for ambiance, battery-operated candles and mood lighting are provided.
INTERNET / TELEVISION – Winridge Manor has free wireless Internet access for all guests throughout the inn. Each room is equipped with cable TV with a variety of movie channels.
